Venue design for the art exhibition Playground for the Senses with the keywords "Observation / Ownership / Consumption." The venue consisted of two floors (ANB Tokyo 3F / 4F) with almost identical floor plans but completely different finishes, one of which had severely damaged floors. The venue design was required to bring a loose sense of wholeness to the exhibition that spanned the floors, to repair the damaged structure with a minimum of fiddling temporarily, and to organize the location of over 100 works and the lines of flow for viewing them.

We first laid blue perforated carpet on the floors with the most severe floor damage. Then we cut out the areas of the floor that were relatively undamaged and took the cut carpet directly to the upper floor instead of trashing it. The cutting and moving of the carpet provided a rough structure for the zoning of the nine artists' exhibition locations and the placement of their works, creating a figure/ground correspondence between the two floors. This intervention also responded to the curator's request for "as little waste as possible."

We made all exhibition furniture with metal studs, a reusable material. Generally, the building material is used as a wire rod, we stack the studs like a log house, and the furniture is always open to the possibility of expanding the surface area and developing into other architectural components. GROUP stocks all studs in the workshop and will convert them to other projects.

「観察 / 所有 / 消費」をキーワードにした美術展「感性の遊び場」の会場設計。会場はほとんど同様の平面形状ながら仕上げがまったく異なるふたつのフロアで（ANB Tokyo 3F / 4F）、その片方は床のダメージが深刻だった。フロアをまたがる展覧会にゆるやかな全体性をもたらすこと、最低限の手つきで傷んだ躯体を仮設的に修復すること、100を超える作品の位置と鑑賞動線を整理すること、が会場設計に求められた。

私たちまず、床のダメージの深刻なフロアに青色のパンチカーペットを敷き詰めた。その後、床のダメージが比較的少ない部分をカットし、切り取ったカーペットはゴミにせず、そのまま4Fにもっていっていった。このカーペットの切り取りと移動は9名の作家の展示位置のゾーニングと作品配置を定めるおおまかな構造となり、ふたつのフロアには図と地の照応関係がもたらされる。これはキュレーターからの「なるべくゴミを出したくない」という要望に応えるものでもあった。什器に関しても、すべて再利用可能な素材である角スタッドを用いて制作した。本来は線材として使用される建材であるスタッドをログハウスのように積み重ねてつくった什器は、壁や天井といった別の構成要素への展開と表面積の拡大の可能性を常に余らせている。スタッドはすべて工房でストックし、別のプロジェクトへと転用される。
